Flowers are the joys of any garden, the colors are dazzling and they come in all shapes, sizes, and textures.
You can use them to decorate your rooms but they can attract bees, butterflies and other insects to your garden which are always fun to explore with your kids.
We had a ladybug molt and leave their shell behind so that my daughter was able to see what a pupa looked like.
We have gorgeous hydrangeas in our front yard but we also grew our own sunflowers last year and it was a wonderful way to watch them grow from a seed to full grown plant.
My daughter appreciated how much time and work went into tending the garden more.
