Frogs are amphibians that live in both water and on land. frogs are cold-blooded animals that have moist skin. Frogs range in size from less than an inch to more than a foot long.
Frogs live on every continent except Antarctica. Their diet includes flies, moths, snails, worms, and crickets while large frogs can eat other small animals like mice.
They lay their eggs in water. The tadpoles that hatch from the eggs and live in the water eating algae. They begin to grow legs and turn into adult frogs that can jump and leap out of the water and breathe air.
Some species of frogs can live to be more than 20 years old! Frogs are an important part of the food chain, and they help to keep the insect population under control.
Frogs are interesting and unusual creatures that are definitely worth learning more about!
