The Skeletal System

The skeletal system is one of the most important systems in the human body. It provides support and structure for the body, helps to protect vital organs, and plays a role in movement.

The skeletal system is made up of bones, which come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some bones, like the ones in the fingers, are small and narrow. Others, like the thigh bone, are large and strong. In addition to their different sizes and shapes, bones also have a variety of functions.

Some bones, like the ribs, provide protection for vital organs. Others, like the bones in the legs and arms, play a role in movement.
