Best Groundhog Day Books for Kids
Groundhog Day is an under celebrated holiday that we should all take more notice to and one way to do that is to introduce some Groundhog Day books to kids. Who doesn’t want to see that cute little groundhog come out of the dirt to see if he sees his shadow?
For more winter activities, you must see my awesome list of Fun Winter Activities for Kids.
These books will help teach children more about why we celebrate the holiday on February 2nd, how we celebrate the holiday, and what happens when the groundhog sees his shadow.

Groundhogs are solitary creatures that dig burrows to live in. They are only found in North America.
Groundhogs are mostly herbivores but will also eat insects. They like to eat lettuce, clover, dandelions, bark and fruit like berries and apples. But they will also eat grubs, snails and grasshoppers.
