Easy Watermelon Paper Plate Craft

Let’s begin by mixing some of the ingredients until they blended well!

You will need to do this step again using the green food color.

Cut the paper plate in half and start painting the inner and outer parts using the puffy paints you mixed earlier.

While waiting for the paint to dry, cut tiny strips of black construction paper that will serve as your seeds.

Once the paint is dry, glue them to the inner part of your watermelon. Older kids can cut them in a shape of a real seed so you’ll have a more detailed watermelon craft.

This craft project also doubles as a fun and unique way to decorate your homeschool classroom or home, adding some summertime vibes even on rainy days! Display your child’s watermelon paper plate craft proudly on your fridge or bulletin board, or even hang them up in your child’s room for a colorful and playful touch.

Watermelon Paper Plate Craft

This watermelon paper plate craft is what you need to teach kids about watermelons and other fruits this summer season or any time of the year!

Materials

Food color (red and green)
Glue
Shaving foam
Paper plate

Instructions

Mix a portion of glue, shaving foam, and red food coloring in a cup. Mix well until all of the ingredients are blended. Repeat this step in another cup but use the green food coloring instead.
Cut the paper plate in half.
Paint the inner part using the red fluffy paint then the outer part with green.
For the final detail, cut very small strips of black construction paper and glue them to the red part of your watermelon.
Now your watermelon paper plate craft is ready to be displayed!
