Spider Activities for Kindergarten

At this time of year, spiders are everywhere! You can find them in trees, on buildings, and even in your own home. But there’s no need to be afraid of these eight-legged creatures!

Fun Spider Activities to try

Go on a spider hunt

This activity is a great way to get kids outside and moving around. See how many different types of spiders your kids can find in your neighborhood or local park. You can even turn it into a competition by seeing who can find the most spiders. Be sure to have a camera or phone handy so you can take pictures of each spider you find!

Make a spider web

This activity is perfect for fine motor skills practice. Using string, yarn, or pipe cleaners, see how many different kinds of spiderwebs your child can make. They could even try to recreate the web of a real spider!

Draw a spider

This is a classic art activity that can be done with any kind of materials you have on hand. encourage your child to be creative and experiment with color, shape, and size.

Build a lego spider

This activity is perfect for kids who love LEGOs. Using LEGO blocks (or any other kind of blocks), see how many different kinds of spiders your child can build. Encourage them to use their imaginations and get creative!
