How to make a space rocket pop-up card?
Space rockets are always a popular theme with kids, so why not make a space rocket pop-up card with them to surprise someone on a special day?
This easy craft project is perfect for kids of all ages, and it’s a great opportunity to teach about the different ways on how to express their feelings (how they care about other people). After all, making cards are a part of every person’s childhood. That’s how we started learning about through writing and it’s the perfect way to celebrate birthdays.
List of Supplies for the Space Pop Up Card
- Cardstock paper
- Craft papers
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Glue
- Marker pens
Darice GX-2200-06 Core’dinations 50-Piece Card Stock Paper, 8.5Crayola Construction Paper, 240 Count, 2-Pack (total 480 count)ELMERS Craftbond Quick Dry Glue, 4 Oz (E6001)
Instructions:
- Cut out the pieces for the rocket for the pop-up cars from the “Rocket Template”.
2. Attach the pieces of the rocket’s window together. Do the same with the pieces of the flames.
3. Glue the rocket’s cone on top of the main body.
4. Then, glue the fins with the rocket.
5. Now, glue the window on the rocket.
6. Then, glue the flame on the bottom.
7. Take note of the size of your rocket and cut out a cardstock paper according to its size. Once ready, fold it in half.
8. Draw two vertical lines on the closed end of the card, they need to be an equal distance from the borders. Use the help of “Template 2 Card Template”
9. Fold the cut-area along the green line on the template.
10. Fold the part inside the card.
11. Open the card.
12. Glue the rocket on the card.
13. Glue the stars on the background of the card.
14. Glue the card’s cover, and add some more decorations.
