- Cardstock paper
- Pencil
- Crayons
- Scissors
- sparkles, glitter, or sequins (optional)
I have the HP printer 8710 but it’s not available anymore. It’s still running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.

Making Your Own Bookmarks
Print out our template on cardstock paper and cut it into bookmark-sized strips. You can also use colorful construction paper if you prefer.
Once you have your strips, it’s time to start coloring! Have your child draw in the year number, or you can choose from any of our free printables and glue them onto the bookmarks. To make it even more festive, add some sparkles, glitter, or sequins.
Once you’re done decorating, use a hole punch at the top of each bookmark and attach a ribbon or string for hanging.
You can also laminate them if you want them to last longer. Now all that’s left is to give them away! These make great gifts for family members, friends, teachers, or anyone else in need of a little extra cheer this new year.
