If you’re planning January lessons and want something easy and fun, these Printable New Year Bookmarks are a quick coloring project with a purpose. I like using these right after winter break when we’re easing back into routine.

Steps on how to make a DIY Bookmark

Once the coloring is done, it’s easy to turn these pages into actual bookmarks.

Print the pages on cardstock for durability
Let the kids color each one
Cut along the outlines to separate each bookmark
Optional: Laminate them to make them last longer
Optional: Use a hole punch at the top and tie a ribbon through it

How to extend the bookmark activity
