How To Make a Polar Animals Play Dough Tray

The great news is that this play dough tray is so simple to do! I like to get a divided tray so that I can add all the parts to it and it keeps it all divided easily for the kids.

This shows them all the choices so that nothing gets lost or overlaps. They can then pick and choose what they want to add to the playdough to make it look really fun and cool.

Using the cookie cutter creates some really fun and cool shapes. This is also a great fine motor skills activity for the kids. They can hold the cookie cutters, push them down into the playdough, and even learn about snowflake shapes or other shapes that you might be able to use.

Once they make the shape out of the playdough, they can use that to play with, decorate some more, or smooth it out and mash it up and use it over and over again.

Benefits of playing with playdough

There are so many benefits of having the kids play with playdough. The best part about playdough is that you can take it and play with it anywhere.

As long as the kids remember that they need to put the lid back on the playdough so that it doesn’t dry out, they should be able to use this craft idea over and over again.

The Rules of Playing with Playdough

It’s true, there are no set rules about playing with playdough…but in our house, I’ve set a few in place to help the kids and myself.

The first thing that I always remind them is that they need to put playdough in a container with a lid. Nothing is more upsetting than to wake up and find that squishy little ball of playdough is no longer squishy.

The other rule is that they need to make sure that the space that they’re putting the playdough on is clean. Dirt and pet hair in playdough is just not a lot of fun!

Once they are geared up and ready to play with this playdough, there’s really no stopping them! They’ll be able to play with it over and over again and set it up differently each and every time.

Are you ready to see how we make this fun playdough craft? It’s a simple and easy process to do!
