How deep is the ocean?

When kids learn about the vastness of the ocean, they often ask an age-old question: How deep is it? The answer can be educational and awe-inspiring, depending on how you present it. After all, 95% of the ocean has never been explored.

That means that if you took all of the parts of the oceans that have been mapped and explored, only 5% of what is down there is something we know about. This makes for a great topic for homeschooling or exploring with kids as it encourages them to think about how much there is still left to be discovered in our world!
