Dogs are one of the most popular pets in the world, and it’s no wonder why. They’re loyal, affectionate, and make great companions. Just like any other living creature, dogs have a life cycle, too.
The life cycle of a dog is relatively short compared to our own, but it’s still filled with happiness, love, and plenty of adventures.

Stages of the Dog Life Cycle
The life cycle of a dog includes four main stages: puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood, and seniorhood. Each stage comes with its own set of challenges and rewards.
From birth to adolescence, puppies go through a lot of changes. They’re born blind and deaf, but within a few weeks their eyes begin to open and their hearing improves. They start to crawl and explore their surroundings. And by the time they’re six to eight weeks old, they’re ready to join their new families.
As dogs enter adulthood, they reach their full size and maturity. This is the life stage when they’re at their peak health and vigor. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last forever.
As dogs get older, around 7-10 years of age, they might develop arthritis or other age-related conditions. This is why it’s so important to take good care of your dog with good food, exercise, and tons of playtime with the family.
