- Blood accounts for approximately 7-8% of a person’s body weight. That’s quite a bit when you think about how small it looks when you get a paper cut.
- There are over 60,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body. Yes, even in kids! It blew our minds to imagine something so long fitting inside our bodies.
- White blood cells live anywhere from a few hours to a few days. They’re short-lived but work tirelessly to protect us from getting sick.
