Thanksgiving is a festive time when loved ones get together to give thanks for all the blessings that they’ve received throughout the year, but it can be hard to make this a fun holiday for our children!
I’ll share some creative ideas below that can help you make your kids’ Thanksgiving fun, engaging, and memorable!
Host a Scavenger Hunt
Prepare a treasure hunt activities for your children! Hide some Thanksgiving-themed items like miniature pumpkins, turkey puzzles, or feathers around your house or garden, and you can provide your children with a list of items to find.
Teach Kids the History of Thanksgiving
You can encourage your children to read Thanksgiving-themed books or watch videos about the Native Americans, Pilgrims, and the first Thanksgiving!
Get Kids Involved in Meal Prepping
You can ask your kids to choose their favorite Thanksgiving dishes or dessert recipes. Depending on their age, you can also ask them to assist you with meal preparation by measuring simple ingredients or even stirring the pot!
