When you can find a passion that your child is interested in, it’s important to capitalize on that and find things that they love as well. Using printables like this for my kids is really intriguing to them because they really do love dinosaurs.
There are very few learning activities that get them excited about learning but anytime I bring up a fun learning printable including dinosaurs, they’re geared up and ready to learn!
Use these dinosaur printables as a great way to help your child find their love of learning.

Recommended Dinosaur Books for Kids
Don’t forget to pair up great reading material to go along with your dinosaur learning. I’m all about pairing up books so that the kids can learn even more.
You’ll find that when you take the time to read books with the kids, they’ll take more interest in other learning activities as well. Books are often a great way to launch into other avenues of excitement and I often use books as a way to link together topics and ideas.
Some of the other great reasons to read together as a family is because it’s a wonderful bonding activity, too. Kids will love having you read to them and you’ll love hearing them read back to you as well.

More fun dinosaur learning activities
While doing this packet is great, don’t forget that you can do other fun learning activities, too.
Kids love to use their imagination when it comes to dinosaurs so make certain to incorporate that into the play ideas as well.
You can also use plastic dinosaurs and have them be there as “helpers” to guide the kids through all the fun learning activities also.
When the weather is nice, take the printable outside and let the kids learn in the sun!
We also like to go on fun dinosaur hunts where we pretend that we’re explorers and we go out into the “wild” and look for clues that there are dinosaurs still roaming the Earth. (and even though it’s obvious that we never find anything, the kids have so much fun with this process!)
Dinosaur Sensory Activity
One other really fun idea for dinosaur fun is to take plastic dinosaurs outside and have the kids use them in the sandbox. They’ll dig and have fun and spend hours creating and using their imagination.
If you don’t have a sandbox, fill up the sink with water and soap bubbles and let them make a splash with their dinosaur toys as well.
They can even create their own story and ideas and then tell you their prehistoric tale.
Fun Dinosaur Activities Printable
Make certain to grab the printable and have so much fun! You can even print this out and have it in your car for the next time that you’re traveling on or a road trip.
No matter how you decide to use this printable, just let the kids do their best. This is a great way to catapult their creativity and to get them excited about learning more about dinosaurs.
I’ve found that the more that we do these types of activities, the more that they’re wanting to learn even more. Having a fun printable as a learning activity is a great way to vary up the learning lessons so that they can do a lot of similar activities all at once.
