How do you teach fire safety to kindergarteners?
When it comes to fire safety, homeschoolers have an advantage. We can teach fire safety anytime we want and make it as fun or serious as possible.
Plus, there are tons of great resources out there for homeschooling families. Luckily, I have one great learning pack ready for you.
In addition to this, you can also take field trips to the local fire station. But what’s most important is that your child understands the basics of fire safety.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when teaching fire safety to your homeschooler:
- Teach your child how to stop, drop, and roll if their clothes catch on fire.
- Show them how to call 911 in an emergency.
- Teach them about smoke alarms and how to test them regularly.
- Help them create an escape plan for your home in case of a fire.
With a little planning and some great resources, you can easily give your homeschoolers the tools they need to stay safe in case of a fire.
