Recommended Planning Must-haves
If you are planning your children’s homeschool year, you should definitely have these printables to help you out. I am using them, and they are making me feel less stressed and actually excited for what’s ahead.

How to print your planning pages
I have the HP printer 8710 but it’s not available anymore. It’s still running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink so you never have to worry about ink again.

What’s included in the year-at-a-glance planning pages?
There’s plenty of space to write in your important events and dates or topics that you want to cover for the school year. I like to have a yearly overview to plan things out in one space so you can move things around and work on seasonal topics as it makes sense.
It doesn’t make sense for us to do a bug unit in March as there’s still snow on the ground for us, gotta love Canada.

Block out vacations, trips, or family visits because you know you won’t get any work done. We do very light schooling in December, when there’s so much to do for the holidays. It’s also a good time to just do a holiday unit with lots of baking and gift-making.

I’ve also included a year-at-a-glance calendar to help you determine the exact dates.
I like having a full-year calendar ready as you go through and plan your year, and it’s super handy for finding birthdays and such to mark off. It’s a good addition to your favorite planner. I like having it in the front of my planner for reference.
