Homeschool Record Keeping

There are a lot of homeschooling families out there, and each one has their own way of keeping records. Some use simple attendance logs to track which days the kids were homeschooled, while others keep more detailed records of the hours spent on homeschooling and what subjects were covered.

No matter what method you use, homeschool record keeping is important for a few different reasons.

For one, it can help you spot patterns in your homeschooling routine. Are there certain days or times of day when your kids seem to struggle? Are there subjects that they always seem to breeze through? Keeping records can help you pinpoint areas that need improvement.

Additionally, homeschool record keeping can be helpful in proving to state or local authorities that your children are actually being homeschooled. If you ever run into any problems or questions from officials, having detailed records can help show that your homeschooling is legitimate.

We’re not required to keep records or submit proof to anyone here in Ontario, Canada but I know not all states and provinces are the same.

So, whatever method you choose, make sure to keep some form of homeschool records! It could come in handy down the road.

If you’re looking for a homeschool attendance sheet, feel free to use this one.

I have the HP printer 8710 but it’s not available anymore. It’s still running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.

This is how I can print in color and not have to worry about ink. And with all of the printing homeschool moms do, you’d appreciate it too.
