With winter feeling as though it lasts forever, it’s a nice thought to think that spring is literally right around the corner. The sun is shining a bit brighter, the birds are chirping more, and we’re looking forward to doing all of these fun and simple STEAM activities for kids.

Spring STEAM activities for kids

The great thing about using these Spring STEM activities is that it’s a giant list to choose from! The kids will love having options and can easily pick and choose any of the items that they want to do.

I’m a big fan of STEM learning for kids because I think it helps to create a well-balanced approach to learning.

It’s no secret that kids tend to like to do the same things over and over so combining a bunch of STEM activities means that they’ll be able to try out different activities to see what they like.

What is the difference between STEM and STEAM?

The basic difference is that STEAM includes the “art” factor while STEM doesn’t. Although you can easily do both and switch back and forth.

But when it comes to getting your child excited about learning, don’t forget that incorporating fun activities and ideas is key. We love to break up our day with these active activities that get our bodies moving and give us a change of scenery and pace as well.

This is why we love to do STEM activities and STEAM activities all throughout the year. Worksheets and printables are great but there’s just something so fun about hands-on activities and learning!
