These Space Counting Mats are a great way to help your early learning count with confidence. Not only do they help with math and number skills, but they’re also spaced themes which are super fun!
This is a great activity for preschool learners to work on building their confidence and counting skills. And when you can combine the awesomeness of outer space, you should do so every time! You’ll love these other fun space activities for kids.
We used these space counting mats for the kids and they were a hit every time. We used pom poms and other markers for our learning fun and the kids had a blast varying it up.
Use this as is or pair it up with a fun lesson on our astronauts or space exploration. Because this is one topic and subject that the kids are going to love!

There are so many fun things that you can do with these number mats. They’re easy to print out and use at home but you can also print and take them with you on road trips or outdoor learning as well.
Since so many lessons can be taught outside of the four walls, there’s no reason that you can’t use these mats for all sorts of learning fun.

How to Use These Space Counting Mats
These counting mats are so simple to use! As you can see from the picture below, once you print them out, you just have to fill in the number and get started!
These Space Counting Mats just need to be printed. Once done, you write a number in the box and have the kids use the pom poms or cotton balls and fill in the squares below.
It’s really as simple as that!
