Fun Facts About the Human Body
Check out these five interesting facts about some of the human body parts that your kindergartener will be glad to know, plus, some activities you can do to make learning more fun!
Our Bones Make a Castle
Did you know that adult humans have 206 bones in their bodies? That’s enough to make a full-scale castle out of! While teaching your child about the different types of bones in our body (long, short, flat, etc.), show them how many they need to build their own castle out of paper or popsicle sticks.
We Have Muscles All Over
Another cool fact is that our bodies have more than 600 muscles! Most of these muscles help us move around, but some even help us do simple tasks like blinking and swallowing food. Talk to your kindergartener about which parts of the body are responsible for moving certain ways and let them try it out for themselves (like kicking a ball or waving).
Our Skin Protects Us
Another essential job of the skin is protection! Not only does it protect us from germs and bacteria on the outside, but also keeps our vital organs safe inside! Talk to your child about what happens if we don’t protect ourselves from getting sick and then act out ways they can prevent germs from entering their body (like washing hands or using sanitizer).
As you can see, learning about the human body doesn’t have to be boring; with these five fascinating facts, you can engage your kindergartener in human body worksheets with ease!

- Paper

- Scissors
I have the HP printer 8710 but it’s not available anymore. It’s still running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink-ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.
