Fascinating Facts About Health and Hygiene

Understanding health at a young age doesn’t have to be boring. Kids can learn so many fun and unexpected things about their bodies and staying clean.

  • Over 700 types of bacteria live in your mouth. Most are harmless, but brushing and flossing help control the troublemakers.
  • The average person touches their face 16-20 times an hour. Teaching kids to wash their hands often can help prevent the spread of germs without even realizing it.
  • Sweating is your body’s natural air conditioner. It cools down, and the salt in your sweat can even help kill some surface bacteria.
