Why funny books?

Why not? I met someone once who talked about certain types of books not being “real books for kids to read,” and I couldn’t disagree more.

If a child is taking the time to pick up a book, sit down to turn the pages, and engage with the words, then to me, that is reading.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a silly book, a chapter book, a graphic novel, or even a board book for little ones who can’t read yet.
