Fun Fall Activities
Fall is a wonderful time of year, and there are plenty of fun activities for kids. One educational activity is visiting a pumpkin patch or apple farm.
Children can learn about how pumpkins and apples are grown and enjoy picking their own fruit. The kids love picking out their own pumpkins, which we decorate for Halloween.
We also toast the pumpkin seeds after we carve them. You can also try this Bubbling Pumpkin Experiment. My kids love it!
Another fall activity that kids will love is making homemade Halloween crafts. Paper bats and ghosts are always popular, and children can get creative with their costumes.
Finally, Fall is the perfect time for cozy family movie nights. Pop popcorn, make hot chocolate, and snuggle up with your little ones to watch a Halloween classic. I have this cool Movie Night Pretend Play Pack that is perfect for this!
With so many fun fall activities to choose from, your kids are sure to have a blast this season!
Create this fun fall tree handprint craft to celebrate the fall season and keep their current handprint as a keepsake.
Use the colors yellow, red, orange, and brown to highlight the colors of tree leaves as they begin to change in the fall.
Discuss why that happens in the fall and what other changes you see with your kids in the fall.

What are the benefits of art for children?
Art is such a great way for kids to express themselves and get their creativity flowing. When they dive into different art projects, they’re not just having fun—they’re also picking up problem-solving skills and thinking critically as they experiment with various techniques and materials.
Plus, art is a fantastic outlet for their emotions, letting them share their feelings in a visual way, which really helps them communicate better. And let’s not forget how boosting confidence and self-esteem comes into play; kids feel proud of what they create!
All in all, bringing art into a child’s life really supports their overall growth and helps develop their imagination.

Recommended Fall Printables
I have some fun printables that will make learning engaging. Your child will definitely enjoy learning about letters and numbers.
How can you create this enjoyable fall art using pom poms?
Just grab some brown construction paper and have your child trace their hand and a bit of their wrist. If they need a hand (pun intended!), feel free to help out. Once they’ve got it traced, cut out the hand and wrist, then glue it onto a piece of white construction paper. This will be perfect for making the tree trunk and branches!
Attach one pom pom to each clothespin. Prepare at least four sets of clothespins, each with pom poms in different fall colors. Next, select at least four paint colors that coordinate with your chosen pom poms.
Pour a small circle of each color of paint onto a paper plate. Have the child gently dip the clothespin with the pom pom attached into the paint and stamp the paint onto the tree trunk.
Repeat this process the desired number of times until the tree trunk/handprint is colored with fall colors.
We had so much fun mixing the colors and giggling at the mess! Once done, just set aside to dry.
