Fall Letter Find Printables

Young Learners Science Club

Learning your letters can be tricky, but making learning fun always makes the day go well. I created this fall letter find printables to help my daughter find her letters in a fun way. This set of printables is part of our Fun Fall Printables for Kids collection.

We’ve always played matching games, and my daughter does a lot of writing. But these printables do not require any writing. This is why these are perfect for young learners and preschool-aged children.

I’m a huge fan of printable worksheets, and combining them with fall fun is the best. Use these worksheets to have new learning on hand for the kids to start today.

Kids learn best when lessons connect naturally to what they see and hear during this time of year. These topics pair well with letter recognition and early literacy.

  • Animals: Many animals prepare for winter, which ties in well with fall themes.
  • Leaves: Talk about why leaves change color and fall to the ground.
  • Weather: Cool breezes and shorter days are easy for kids to observe.
  • Fruits and vegetables: Apples, pumpkins, and harvest foods are fun to discuss.

Check out these fun fall books for kids. I love finding new books that show kids how much fun reading is. The more that they find ways to read and get entertained by books, the more that they’re going to want to pick up books and read.

Since I’m a big believer in reading as a building block for learning, I think books are an important part of everyday learning. What I love best about these books is that they’re great for readers of all ages.

Some books have more words than others, and all have fun and bright pictures. This gives the kids time to absorb the words on the pages and look at all the pretty pictures as well.

These are just a few of our favorite fall books, so have fun adding to the list. A quick search on Amazon or a trip to the library will reveal so many more choices, too.

Why do kids need to learn about the fall season?

Learning about seasonal changes helps kids understand their environment and notice how the world shifts throughout the year. Fall is an easy time to explore through hands-on activities and books.

  • Weather changes: Kids begin noticing cooler days and shifts in nature, which builds awareness.
  • New vocabulary: Fall brings unique words that support language growth.
  • Color recognition: Reds, yellows, and oranges offer natural opportunities to discuss color families.
  • Real-world connections: Seasonal topics give kids a chance to observe what’s happening outside.

We have tons more fun printable kindergarten worksheets to share. I think you’ll find that all these printables are great for helping kids have fun while learning.

Supplies Needed for this Fall Printable

You can use a bingo dabber or dot marker to find all of the letters that you need. Or you could use a counter like a bead, rock, or block to place on top of the correct letter.

I always leave it up to my daughter; she’ll use her bingo dabber or the pom-poms.

Besides that, you really don’t need any sort of other supplies at all. These worksheets are really that simple.

I have the HP printer 8710, but it’s no longer available. It’s been running well for years now. Consider another HP Instant Ink-ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.
