Recommended Dragonfly Books for Kids
These are just a few of the best books about dragonflies. Some books have real pictures to look at while others are drawings. All of these books are great for kids to read and learn from as well.
Adding books to the lessons that you’re learning about is a fun and easy way to extend the lesson plan. This simple idea will have the kids grabbing for a book and saddling up to read. I love having quiet times throughout the day that have the kids sitting down a grabbing a book.
Instead of them spending time on the screen, a good book will give them entertainment and have them learning at the same time.
Use these books as a fun way to extend your dragonfly learning as well as introducing some great new books to them at the same time. These are just a few of our favorite books about dragonflies but don’t forget to sprinkle in some of your favorites as well.

Recommended Dragonfly Toys
We love to pair fun learning toys with our lesson plans. This is a great way for them to get some hands on learning with their printables.
What I love about adding toys is that it creates such a unique learning opportunity for the kids. Since kids learn at all different levels and ways, having tools that they’ll have fun with and want to learn with is key.
The best part about using toys at home as learning tools is that the kids will never really feel like they’re learning. When you can use pretend toys to add to their day, they’re going to be so much more involved with the learning process.
Plus, choosing toys like these below are great for Christmas toys, birthday toys, and more! You can give them a gift that they’re going to love playing with and learning with!

Keep in mind that while you’re learning about dragonflies, it’s also a great idea to get outside and look for them, too.
You can easily head to an area that they’ll be living in and see if you can spot any out and about. This is a great way to have the kids do a bit of research about them to find out where to look for them. You can then use the information that they’ve gathered and put that knowledge to use.
Also use this time to talk to kids about the importance of not disturbing them in the areas that they’re living. That they’re just to look but not touch or try to catch.
