Dinosaur Science Experiments for Kids
To get you started, here are some dinosaur-themed experiments for your kids to try:
Dinosaur Dig
For this dinosaur activity, you will need:
- Plastic dinosaurs and fossils
- clean potting soil
- flour
- sand
- water
- Container
- Excavation tools
They’ll have a blast unearthing their very own prehistoric treasures.
Making Fossils
This first experiment is a great way to teach your child about how fossils are formed. For this activity, you will need some salt, plain flour, water, brown colored food dye and dinosaur figurines. Show your child how to press the figurine into the clay to make an imprint.
