What topics can you discuss from the Adam and Eve story

This story opens the door to thoughtful conversations without overwhelming young learners. These topics can be shared during coloring time or read-aloud moments.

  • Creation: Talk about how God made the world and everything in it, including people.
  • Choices: Discuss how decisions have consequences in a way kids can understand.
  • Obedience: Share why listening to God and parents matters.
  • God’s love: Explain that love remains even after mistakes.

Bible Books I Recommend

I recommend pairing these pages with simple Bible storybooks that retell Scripture in clear language and with supportive illustrations for early readers.

Supplies needed for the Adam and Eve coloring pages

This activity keeps prep time to a minimum, which I always appreciate.

I have an HP 8710 printer, but it’s no longer available. It’s been running well for years now. Consider another HP Instant Ink-ready printer so you can use their program to send ink cartridges whenever your printer runs low.

What’s included in the Adam and Eve coloring sheets?

Adam and Eve in the Garden

This page shows Adam and Eve together in the Garden of Eden. Children can color the background while discussing where the story takes place.

God Creates Adam and Eve

This page includes a brief sentence explaining that God created Adam first, then Eve. It’s a good chance to practice reading aloud with support.

The Special Tree

Children color the tree with fruit while learning about God’s instructions. This page naturally leads to a discussion about rules.

The Serpent and the Fruit

This illustration introduces the serpent and the poor choice that followed. When my older kids were younger, we used this page to talk about honesty and listening.

Leaving the Garden

The final page shows Adam and Eve leaving the garden while still being cared for by God. It helps reinforce the message of love and forgiveness.

Ways to extend this activity

If you want to go beyond coloring, these ideas work well with early elementary kids.

  • Read the Bible story aloud, pausing after each page to color together.
  • Have kids retell the story using the pictures as prompts.
  • Draw their own garden scene on blank paper.
  • Pair this printable with my Creation worksheets for kids for a fuller look at the beginning of the Bible
