There are 6 pages of lacing cards that you can print out yourself. This is a great sensory activity and fine motor activity for kids.

The kids look forward to their Easter egg hunt and it’s a great time to spend with your family. We love spring crafts because it makes us forget that we still have a large pile of snow sitting outside of our yards. Wishful thinking I guess.

BUT, knowing that Easter is around the corner does give us hope for no more snow and more sunshine, flowers, and outdoor fun!

Easter Lacing Cards

We’ve been using these lacing cards for years and my kids still love them! It’s one of those activities that the kids still like even as they’ve gotten older. (and I don’t mind, it’s always a great activity for the kids!)

The best way is to print them out onto card stock so that they are more sturdy. I also like to laminate them or cover them with contact paper to make them last longer.

Trust me on this one. This is one activity that your child will want to do over and over again! They’ll love learning how to use these lacing cards. Plus, they are really good for their hand-eye coordination as well.

Since there aren’t a lot of supplies needed to create or do this Easter craft, this is one that you can do at home or even have in the car. The kids will love being able to have something new and exciting to occupy their time while they’re running errands or traveling.

You can even put these in the kid’s Easter baskets as well as a simple way to combine a bit of learning fun with their sweets.

You can also practice those eye and hand coordination skills with these free printable lacing cards for your little one.

I have the HP printer 8710 but it’s not available anymore. It’s been running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink-ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.

Fun Ways to Use Lacing Cards

Since lacing cards are meant to help with fine motor skills, it’s always a good activity for the kids. As I mentioned above, having them in the car is a great way to keep their minds and hands active during trips and appointments.

You can also print these off and have them ready for Easter morning by putting them in their Easter baskets, too. I like to mix in a few learning activities with the sweets and treats and it’s something that I think they appreciate as well.

Last, but not least, sit down with them and encourage them to use the cards. I know it might sound like an obvious answer but my kids are always more motivated to do things when I’m there watching with them. I love that I can slow down my time as well and sit down with them to have fun.

This helps them to build their creativity and be excited that they’re able to accomplish things on their own as well. Since they can easily do these lacing cards all on their own, they’ll be able to show you just how fast they can get at this fun activity.

Just be ready, they might challenge you as well to see what you can do! As long as you keep it light-hearted and fun, it’s a fun way for the kids to get encouraged to use their hands and show off some of their learning skills.

Recommended Easter Books

Take out your favorite Easter books and pair them with these fun lacing cards. These are just a few of our favorite Easter books, but there are plenty more to choose from. I like to get book ideas online just by searching reviews or asking other moms and dads what some of their favorite books for kids, too.

It’s always a great idea to pair up whatever you’re learning with a good book. It adds an element of difference and extends the learning even more. Let your child pick out one of their favorite Easter books to incorporate into the learning fun.

We’ve really added some great books to our little library at home over the years and I love cycling them out so that we can have books for all times and seasons of the year. Easter books are always some of my favorites though because they’re full of funny stories and bright colors.
