As the cold winter days start to thaw, and the first buds push their way through the soil, springtime brings in a sense of renewal and fresh beginnings. No one embraces that feeling more than preschoolers, who are endlessly curious and ready to absorb knowledge like water to a young plant.

How do you make math fun?
One of the most captivating aspects of spring for preschoolers is the awakening of the natural world. Everything from flower petals to raindrops becomes a potential subject for curious minds.
Encourage your kids to count objects they find outside. How many daisies are in the meadow? Can you count all the ants on the sidewalk? How many ladybugs are in the garden?
Bring spring themes into math to take a break from your regular curriculum.
Use everyday outings as a learning opportunity and transform a walk in the park into a comprehensive counting lesson.
