How do I entertain my preschooler indoors?
When it comes to keeping my 4-year-old entertained indoors, I like to get creative with our activities. One of my go-to activities is building forts with pillows, sheets, and blankets. This not only encourages their imagination, but it’s also a great opportunity for them to work on their gross motor skills.
Another favorite activity is creating sensory bins filled with items like rice, beans, or water beads, paired with various manipulatives like scoops, spoons, and measuring cups. Sensory play not only keeps their imagination running but also aids in their sensory development.
We also love to do simple arts and crafts like painting, coloring, and play dough. Not only do these activities keep them engaged and having fun, but they also help them develop their fine motor skills.
We work very hard to limit screen times for our little ones so they have to get use to entertaining themselves and there’s no shortage of things for them to do especially when we also have 2 dogs and a cat.
