Being prepared and organized with your homeschool supplies is a great way to start the year. It can be hard to decide what are the must-have homeschool supplies you may need, but a good way to do it is to make a list.
As you go through your curriculum, you can make a list of the different supplies you may need for projects or to aid in your teaching throughout the year. Being prepared can save you time and money.
If you are looking for some ideas on what homeschool supplies you should have on hand for the year, these are just a few ideas that may work.
Having a laminator in your homeschool classroom can come in extremely handy. You can easily laminate school materials and references so that you can use them over and over.
I didn’t know what I was missing until I got one. I use it for so many things like vocabulary cards and schedule and chore cards.
I have a HP Instant Ink printer that I use so that I don’t have to worry about ink running out. I have the HP 8710 and it is a beast and lasted for 3 years now. It may be discontinued now, but I’m sure they’ve come out with better versions.
I do suggest getting an all in one printer that copies and scans because as a homeschooler, you’re going to be printing out a ton.
When you buy an HP Instant Ink printer, you usually get a promo with 3 months of free printing.
If I didn’t have an HP Instant Ink printer, then I’d go for the Epson Ecotank so again, you don’t have to worry about refilling their ink cartridges all of the time.
Using a slanted board in your homeschool can help keep kids comfortable and can provide optimal visual distance to improve their development and performance.
This geometry set is a great deal for students who are a bit older and learning geometry. The kit includes a variety of different sized compasses, protractors, rulers, and more.
It can be tricky learning fractions and this rainbow themed fraction tower is a great way to let kids visually see how fractions are broken up.
Another great set of supplies to have, this craft set includes a variety of different art pieces and craft materials that you can use in all aspects of your teaching.
Perfect for storing papers or school supplies, this drawer cart will help you keep track of items and store them in an organized way.
You can have one for each child or a shelf for each child or add all of your supplies to the cart so that it can easily be moved around the room for convenience.

Having a supply of markers and crayons are always good for kids. They will come in handy when it comes to doing different activities, art projects, and more.
Binders can be easily set up and will hold any graded papers and previously done work. After the work is finished, you can add it to the binder for easy storage.
Each child should have their own pencil case to hold their own supplies. That way no one can get mad at anyone else when they can’t find their favorite pencil, yes, that does happen a lot.
