Axolotl Facts for Kids

Axolotls have some interesting traits that make kids stop and listen. I used facts like these when my older kids were younger to add context before starting the worksheet.

• Axolotls stay in water their whole lives. Unlike frogs, axolotls do not move onto land as adults, which surprises most kids.
• Axolotls can regrow body parts. They can regrow tails and even parts of limbs, which always caught my kids’ attention.
