How do we make learning about science engaging?
When learning is interactive, kids are much more likely to retain new concepts. That’s where a farm theme comes in. Farms are full of real-life science applications, from plant growth to animal life cycles.
Using familiar farm elements, we can approachably introduce topics like germination, physics, and chemistry. A simple activity like making butter can teach about chemical reactions, while hatching chick experiments introduce the concept of life cycles.

What can kids learn from these farm science activities?
Farm science activities introduce kids to key STEM principles through play. They explore how seeds grow, why eggs hatch, and even how dairy products are made. These hands-on experiments make science less abstract and more meaningful.
Through these activities, preschoolers develop observation skills and problem-solving abilities. They learn to ask questions, predict outcomes, and explore different results—building critical thinking skills that will serve them well beyond the preschool years.
