What are some cool facts about LEGOs?
LEGO, which comes from the Danish phrase “leg godt” meaning “play well,” has an interesting history. Founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen in 1932, the company started by making wooden toys before shifting to plastic bricks in 1947.
Remarkably, LEGO bricks made over 60 years ago still fit with today’s bricks, showing the timeless design. The LEGO Group is also one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers, producing over 700 million tiny tires annually for its sets.
Additionally, there are over 915 million ways to combine six eight-stud LEGO bricks of the same color, highlighting their creative possibilities. With themed sets like Harry Potter and Star Wars, LEGO continues to inspire creativity in both children and adults worldwide.

What skills can the Lego set help develop?
The fall season can be a great time for homeschoolers to focus on STEM activities. One fun and educational activity that fits into this category is building Legos.
Not only is it a lot of fun, but it also helps to develop important skills like problem-solving, fine motor control, and spatial awareness.
Legos are suitable for kids of all ages, so there’s no need to worry about them outgrowing the Lego phase. With so many benefits, it’s no wonder that Legos are one of the most popular toys on the market.
Plus, it’s a great way to get creative and use your imagination. If you’re looking for a homeschooling activity that is both fun and educational, building Legos is a great option to consider.
