Dental Health Worksheets for Kids
Do you remind your children to brush their teeth every day? Does it seem like more hassle than it’s worth? You need these dental health worksheets for kids to help teach your kids the how and why they should brush their teeth, not only every day, but after every meal!
Dental health is one of the easiest ways we can take care of our bodies. Poor oral hygiene is a risk factor for so many preventable diseases, such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. But good habits that start young can last a lifetime. So make it easy with these fun dental health worksheets.

A regular visit to the dentist should be part of every family’s health routine. Dentists not only help you take care of your teeth, but can help teach your child how to use a toothbrush properly and show them how to brush their teeth.
There are so many benefits to instilling good dental health habits in our kids. Not only is it good for their long term health, but it’s also good for your wallet! After all, a good toothbrushing routine can help prevent cavities, and that means fewer visits to the dentist.
Once you’ve got the techniques down, you can help your children develop healthy habits. Use the chart provided in this worksheet set to encourage your child to get in the habit of regular brushing.
Fun stickers to mark off the days they remembered get kids excited about the routine, and you could even offer a small prize for a finished chart. Just avoid the candy!
The American Dental Association recommends that kids brush their teeth (or have parents do it for them) at least twice a day — once right after breakfast and again right before bed. And those are also perfect opportunities to incorporate tooth brushing into your regular routines.
Make brushing their teeth part of post-meal clean up, along with taking dishes off the table and washing their hands and face. And make toothbrushing a regular part of bedtime, right alongside pajamas and storytime.

There’s more to good dental health than just tooth brushing though. Don’t forget flossing. Try a flavored floss or one in fun colors to get your kids interested.
Show them how to gently hold the string and bring it between teeth to clean in those hard-to-reach spaces. And remember that more is caught than taught, so let them catch you doing the same thing!
Giving our kids the skills to stay healthy growing up is an essential part of parenting. Dental hygiene is just one of the many skills, but it’s an important one.
And there are so many good things that come from good dental health routines — and not just for physical health. This is an opportunity for quality time between you and your child.
So make it fun, and you can start with these fun dental activities worksheets!
