How do people around the world celebrate Christmas?
Christmas is celebrated in many different ways around the world.
In Canada, for example, people often decorate their houses with evergreen branches and holly, and give each other gifts. In the USA, Christmas trees are usually decorated with lights and ornaments, and people exchange gifts on Christmas Eve.
In Australia, where it is summertime at Christmas, people might have a barbecue or go to the beach. And in Europe, many people attend special Christmas Eve church services and celebrate with a big meal on Christmas Day.
