Fall is the perfect time to up your homeschooling learning with these Fall Animals Counting Cards and Puzzles! Great for preschoolers!

If your child needs help counting up to 12 then these cards and puzzles are for you. These are perfect for fall learning and fall fun.

The counting cards can be printed on cardstock, laminated, and used with clothespins or your child can place a counter over the answer or color it with a dot marker. We love to laminate them so that we can take them with us when we are on the go! (which feels like all the time!)

The puzzles should also be printed on cardstock as well to prevent them from curling. My kids hate it when that happens.

While the counting cards go up to 12, the puzzles go up to 30. This is a great way to help your child grow and learn more about counting as well.

More Ways To Make Fall Learning Fun

The great thing about the fall season is that it just opens up the door to so many other fun fall learning ideas. This is because the weather is just about the perfect temperature and that means that getting outside is just a lot less stressful and hot.

If your kids are anything like mine, we try to steer clear of the bugs that buzz around and like to nibble on us during the summer months. Once fall arrives, this means that the bugs pack up and head back to hide out!

We love to get out and explore trails and be a bit closer to nature during this time. You can easily use the fall months as a great way to explore nature and have your studies be more focused on that. The more that you can dive in and ask the kids what they like and love, the more they will want to continue with that type of learning.

Fall is the perfect time of year to study trails, leaves, animals, and more. You can easily spend the day outside and take nature journals or study sheets to help you out along the way.

These lessons can also help prompt you to start studying other things as well and can be a great launching point for even more fun learning.

If you’re practicing counting with your little one then these math worksheets will be a nice way to bring fall into your homeschool.

Fall Books for Kids

Books are so much fun, especially seasonal and holiday books. We always cuddle up together with a huge stack of fun books like these and we take our time reading them.

Sometimes, there’s popcorn, and other times, we make some hot cocoa. I’m telling you, if you don’t do this already, you should definitely try it!

Not only do we do this for seasons, but we keep this tradition up year-round as well! It’s so much fun to snuggle up and read together, and there are a ton of great books out there to enjoy as a family!

Who can deny the cuteness of children’s books?

Fall Animals Counting Cards and Puzzles supplies

Here are the simple supplies that you need to get started! I use most of these supplies for my printables.

I have the HP printer 8710 but it’s not available anymore. It’s still running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink-ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.

Luckily I was able to head outside to grab leaves and acorns from the ground near our tree to make this activity truly festive.

But you can use pom poms, colored beads, or clothespins. If you’re child truly hates any schoolwork, try raisins. And every time they get an answer correct, they get to eat it.

The cards and puzzles, if laminated, can go into a Ziploc bag or storage box so that your child can pull these out on their own.

It’s the perfect quiet time activity while older kids are doing schoolwork.
