Skills kids Will Learn With This Thanksgiving Printable

These worksheets help build early reading, counting, and letter recognition. The activities give students a mix of hands-on sorting, writing, and counting.

  • Encourage them to look closely at beginning sounds.
  • Guide them through simple addition using clear visuals.
  • Remind them to check their work by pointing to each object.

I often use seasonal activity packs to fill short gaps between lessons or to support independent work. These Thanksgiving and fall sets offer a range of pages that kids enjoy while practicing reading and math.

I have the HP printer 8710, but it’s not available anymore. It’s still running well for years now. Look for another HP Instant Ink ready printer so that you can use their program to send you ink cartridges whenever your printer gets low on ink.

What’s included in these Thanksgiving Worksheets?

Word Sort

This page lets students sort pictures by whether or not they start with the letter T. They cut out the small pictures and place them in the correct column.

Letter Sounds: Ham, Mayflower, Corn, Turkey

Students fill in the missing beginning sounds by choosing from the letter options at the bottom. The clear images help early readers match pictures with their sounds.

Letter Sounds: Leaf, Bread, Pilgrim, Family

This page builds on the same skill by offering a new set of themed images. Kids focus on the first letter and write it in the blank.

Thanksgiving Addition

Kids count themed objects such as turkeys, apples, and pies. They add the two groups and write the total in the space provided.

Letter T Page

Students trace the upper and lowercase T, then color the pictures that begin with the T sound. The page also includes a counting section where they total small groups of items.
