We take a break from our regular homeschool routine and I get to bring out stuff we never got to during the school year. I like to bring in fun things or unit studies that we never had a chance of completing.
Since we pause from our regular math curriculum, I like to make my own math worksheets for my daughter to see if she can apply what she’s learned in a different way. Her regular math curriculum is Saxon Math so it’s a nice change of pace.
We love using these summer math worksheets to keep our brains sharp and focused. They’re simple and festive and just really quite fun to do.
And now we have tons more fun printable kindergarten worksheets to share.
Since they’re all about math and learning, they’re just even more fun once you can add in summer pictures as well. Your kiddos will love the bright colors that are included in these worksheets as well.

We’ve actually branched out and used these math worksheets for a lot of learning fun. The kids love being able to count and also look at the pictures and I love that these worksheets keep them focused and excited about summer.
Even though the math is geared towards early learners, it’s a really fun packet to do with a wide variety of ages. Any time that you can get them interested in learning, why not?
And the best part about these summer math worksheets? They’re 100% free to download and use for your own supplemental learning! Don’t let summer slide happen to your kids where they forget everything that they knew before the summer break happened.

Recommended Summer Books for Kids
To extend the activity, read some fun summer books, read about the beach, or their favorite bug or bird that they saw on their last walk. Summer means more time outdoors, start a garden, and watch the plants as they grow.
Add a fun summer book to keep your child reading over the summer. Reading is a skill that needs to be practiced regularly or they start to forget.
