Sea Turtle Paper Plate Craft
Making this sea turtle paper plate craft is actually simple and easy. You just need a few craft supplies to get started.
If you’re wondering if we enjoyed making this cute craft, well, you are definitely right!
Make sure you download and print the template provided at the end of this post. You’ll need it for the cut-outs that will serve as your little sea turtle’s head and feet!
Paint one side of the paper plate. This will be the shell of your sea turtle.
Start decorating the shell, attach the eyes, and draw the face. Make sure it’s smiling!
Now your sea turtle paper plate craft is done!

Sea Turtle Paper Plate Craft
If you need a super easy craft for your ocean lesson, try this Sea Turtle Paper Plate Craft!
Materials
- Paper plate
- Scissors
- Black marker
- Liquid glue
- Googly eyes
- Acrylic paint (burnt sienna)
- Paintbrush
- Colored paper (green, pink, sky blue, orange, red, yellow)
- Template provided
Instructions
- Using the burnt sienna acrylic paint, start painting the backside of the paper plate. Make sure you cover the whole side.
- Cut the pieces from the printed template and glue them to green-colored paper. Cut out the pieces again.
- Draw different sizes of circles on the other colored papers. Cut them out and paste them onto the painted side of the paper plate.
- Assemble your turtle's body by attaching the green cutouts to the shell.
- Glue the googly eyes to your sea turtle then draw a cute nose and mouth. You can add more details if you want.
- You're done with your sea turtle paper plate craft!
