Set up a Paypal Account

When you are looking to purchase curriculum online then you need to set up a Paypal account. It’s super easy to do and you can withdraw it into your bank account. Paypal also protects buyers, so if there are any issues with not receiving your purchases you can easily file a claim. As a seller, you want to ensure that your shipment is tracked so that you can see that is delivered to the correct address.

If there are a lot of sellers selling the same curriculum, those items will have a lower resell value, this will also give you a hint as to what you should charge or buy so that you know what to expect.

It pays to take your time and do some research. This can be a super simple way to get a great deal without stress. You can also research the websites that you’re shopping at as well to see what people have rated them after buying from them.

What Condition is your book in?

Books that are in a rough state or not as crisp will fetch a lower price, some are ok with this and some want a new book so be sure to list what state your books are in or be sure to ask what books they are in before you make a purchase.

If you’re going to sell your books just be certain that you’re open and honest about anything on them. That way people know what they’re buying and what they’re getting and there shouldn’t be any type of issues.

How much is shipping?

Calculate shipping before you list your items for sale so that you can easily respond to questions, does the price include shipping, or is it on top of the seller’s price, make sure you’ve stated if the price includes shipping or not.

People often underestimate how expensive shipping can be so this can be a big deal for people to know right off the bat.

What else does the curriculum need?

You may get questions pertaining to the curriculum, ie does it include the teacher’s manual, do you need a student workbook, it’s nice if you haven’t used the curriculum in a while to keep track of what is needed for it. This will help you answer any questions you may get.

As a buyer, you’ll want to ask those questions, does it include the teacher’s manual, can the curriculum be used without it or is there any writing in the workbook?

Find out any of those questions before you start to purchase anything or sell it. If you have these questions more than likely other people do as well.

I created a printable to keep track of the curriculum that you’d like to sell. This can be a great way to ensure that you’re doing your best to think of all scenarios and questions when it comes to buying and selling online.

Remember that when it comes to finding the best curriculum, there may be ways that you can get it at a more affordable price. To do this, just be certain to follow the tips above and do your research on what you can afford or are looking for.

This also means that you might have to piece together different books and curricula but that doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. If you can find everything that you’re looking for at a more affordable price, why not?

And when it comes to selling, keep that in mind as you start your school year. Some people know from the start that they’re wanting to recoup some of their costs so they have the kids use the book as a guide but do the lessons and activities on paper. This way, you can resell the books for top dollar because they’re going to be in great condition.
