Fun Facts About Frogs
Frogs have great jumping abilities, can catch their food with lightning-fast, sticky tongues, and have big eyes that seem to see everything. Here are some fun facts that kids would love to know.
Sticky Tongue – Frogs can snap flies right out of midair. They have a sticky tongue that zips out super fast to grab their meals.
Long Jumpers – They are great jumpers as some can leap 20 times their body length! Let kids give jumping a try themselves and see how frog-like they can be.
Frogs Breathe Through Their Skin – Frogs can breathe through their skin while they’re underwater. They can soak up air without coming up for a breath. They need to keep their skin wet for this to work, so they hang out in moist places.
From Tadpoles to Frogs – They start off as eggs, turn into tadpoles, and then change into frogs, growing legs and saying goodbye to their tails.
Aren’t frogs just great? With their abilities, it’s not hard for them to make everyone like them. They are an animal favorite with lots of kids.
