Fizzy St. Patrick's Day Science

Equipment

  • 100 Pcs gold plastic coins
  • BESTOYARD 5Pcs Bow Bottle Cap Tiny Green hat
  • Tub Works® Bath Color Fizzies

Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Fizzy tub colors liquid water colors, food coloring
  • Squeeze bottles
  • Gold Coins
  • Foam shamrocks
  • Green shot glasses with shamrocks
  • Small green leprechaun hats
  • Pinecones
  • Water table this is optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the colored vinegar by mixing liquid watercolors, food coloring, or fuzzy colors. You can make different mixtures of colors green, yellow, black, and white!
  • Place the mixture using a funnel into your squeeze bottles.
  • Using a large container or a water table, pour in as much baking soda as you can, then add the St. Patrick's Day items like gold coins, leprechaun hats, green shot glasses, and foam shamrocks! Your kids can add other items that are related to St. Patrick's Day too!
  • Your kids can now start playing! Squeeze the colored vinegar onto the baking soda bed and make the mixture sizzle and fizzle as the baking soda reacts to the colored vinegar mixture.
  • They can play with the items inside the bin and explore shapes, textures, and colors all while having so much fun!
