What Is Included?

David and Goliath
The first page introduces David and Goliath together, with both characters and the story title ready to color.
David Trusted God
The second page shows David with a sheep and the sentence, “David trusted God when he faced the giant Goliath.” Children can color the picture while you talk about what it means to trust God.
David Used His Sling
This page shows David using his sling along with stones and the sentence, “David used his sling and a stone to defeat Goliath.”
The Battle Is the Lord’s
The fourth page shows David facing Goliath and includes the verse, “The battle is the Lord’s.” — 1 Samuel 17:47.
God Helped David Be Brave

How Can You Extend the Activity?
Use one or two simple follow-up ideas to continue the lesson after coloring.
- Retell the story with small figures or homemade paper characters.
- Make five paper stones and count them together.
- Draw a picture of David and add the parts your child remembers from the story.
- Ask your child to describe a time when something felt difficult or scary.
- Use a simple sequence activity to put the main parts of the story in order.
