Ocean in a Bottle Experiment
This fun science activity is perfect for the kids!
Equipment
- Watkins Assorted Food Coloring
- Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil, 32 Ounce
Ingredients
- 1 bottle 2 liter in size
- 1 bottle of vegetable oil
- Strong tape
- Funnel
- 1 bottle of water
- Blue food coloring
Instructions
- Put a funnel in the bottle
- Pour in the water and fill it halfway full.
Put in 5 drops of blue food coloring and shake gently. - Fill the rest of the bottle with vegetable oil.
- Close the lid and make certain it's tight.
- Put a strip of tape around the bottle's lid.
- Shake.
- Watch and see what happens with the oil and the water.
