Insect Slime Recipe
This bug slime activity is easy to set up and only takes a few minutes. Kids love stretching it, hiding toy insects, and watching how the goo changes as they play. It’s a quick science project and a fun sensory tool all in one.
Ingredients
- ½ cup clear Elmer’s glue
- ½ cup warm water
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 ½ tbsp contact solution must contain boric acid
- Green food coloring
- Glitter green and yellow, optional
- Medium-sized bowl
- Spoon
Instructions
- Gather the supplies.
- Mix the water and baking soda.
- Add the glue and stir.
- Mix in food coloring and glitter.
- Add contact solution and knead until the slime is ready.
