How to Grow a Rainbow Experiment
This colorful activity is quick to set up and fun to watch. Kids get to explore how water moves while enjoying the excitement of watching a rainbow slowly grow across the paper towel.
Ingredients
- 1 paper towel select-a-size or cut in half
- Scissors
- 6-8 cups of water
- Large bowl
- Washable markers red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink
- Clip with magnet
Instructions
- Grab everything you need
- Cut the paper towel to look like a rainbow
- Color the bottom edge using washable markers
- Fill a big bowl with water
- Clip the top of the towel and stick it to something metal, or just hold it
- Dip just the bottom part into the water
- Sit back and watch the colors climb
