Equipment

  • Woeber's 5 Percent White Distilled Vinegar 1 Gallon
  • Alex Pretend Tea Time Kids Tea Set, 16 Piece
  • Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, 16 oz (3 Pack)

Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Tea set
  • Food Coloring optional

Instructions

  • Get your teapot, take off the lid then fill it with vinegar
  • Once done, place the top back on and get your teacups and baking soda ready
  • Fill each teacup halfway with baking soda
  • If you want to make it even more fun add a couple of drops of food coloring to each teacup
  • Finally, start your exciting exploding tea party by letting your child pour the “tea” into each cup
  • Have fun and observe the magic happen!

Notes

After the activity, rinse the tea set thoroughly since vinegar is corrosive and if left inside for a long time, it might ruin it.
