Even though I love to add reminders to my phone, I’m a paper type of girl. There’s just something about a paper organizer and paper printable that makes me feel as though I’m really staying on top of things.

And while I love technology, I’m also a big fan of having a paper copy, too. This way I have my plans in more than one place and that is a great way to have to be certain that I’m following my plans.

Homeschooling Books To Read

It’s no secret that being a homeschool mom means that we all have a lot going on. This is true if you’re homeschooling one child, two, or 10. Your schedule is busy and your time is spent educating and learning with the kids, all at the same time.

But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t use your time to read some great books! All of these books are great reads and can help you find a way to organize your day, your month, and your year.

Some of these books are just about planning while others are finding ways to make connections as a family. Each one of these books is full of great lessons for parents and homeschoolers to learn.

I’ve actually used my monthly printable planner as a great way to add in books that I want to read. Depending on my month and schedule, I can usually fit in a book per month to read. This means that there is a high percentage that I’ll be able to read a minimum of 12 books in a year.

While that might not sound like a lot – it is for me some months. (but don’t worry, I never put pressure on myself to try and push through a book. I enjoy the reading process SO MUCH that I never want to do anything to try and make it seem like a chore!)

If you’re ready to take charge of your year and do what you can to plan it out, you’re going to want to use these planning printables to help!

How you set them up all depends on you. You can use these monthly planners to write out things for your life, your family activities, or things that you’re wanting to accomplish for your homeschooling schedule as well.

That’s the best part about having a blank yearly calendar – it leaves it open to do what you’re going to want to do.

I’ve played around with this a lot and have found out that I’m a bullet-point type of planner. This means that I can easily fit 10 or so tasks that are top priority in my monthly blocks and this makes it easier to check out to be done with, too.

Just in case you need even more room, you’ll find that there are two different styles for your planning. One is set up to be more like squares while the other tends to be more like a rectangle. This gives you even more space to write out your thoughts and things that you need to do.

What would you add to a yearly planner?

This really all depends on what you need to plan. You can always add in appointments, doctor appointments, trips, and things such as that.

If you’re using this yearly printable to plan out the homeschool year, you can add in monthly lesson plan topics, field trips, or even holidays and days that you’re going to be taking off from schooling.

The great part about having a yearly printable means that you don’t have to “overly” plan out the days. You can make it be a vague snapshot of the month so that it gives you the flexibility to be a bit more lenient.

Keep in mind that this printable is great to have with you at all times! I have a bigger purse that I tend to carry with me, or at least keep in the car, so that makes it super simple to have this printable with me at all times.

The moment that something arises, I can easily add it to my list so that I know what month I need to have it done by.

This makes it super simple to keep track of and is a great way to hold me accountable!
