Tips for Making Slime with Peeps

It’s no secret that making slime is so much fun! While this slime recipe isn’t hard to do, there are a few tips to keep in mind.

First and foremost, make sure that the kids wash their hands. Sounds like a simple tip, right? You’d be surprised! Since they can play with this slime and then nibble on it if they want, you’re going to want to make sure that they have clean hands while doing so!

Also, be sure to be with them while they’re making slime. It’s not hard to make at all but there does need to be some parental support and supervision there along the way.

Don’t forget to change up the color of the slime! Using various colors of peeps means that the slime will be all different colors! This is a super simple way to change up the look and keep it fun and engaging!

Ways to Play with Slime

There are so many ways that your child can play with slime. They can simply hold it and try to make it into a round ball or stretch it out as far as they can.

Ask your kids what happened to the Peeps to change their texture and how they went from an edible treat to a fun slime that you can play with. Conversations are a great way to engage and keep activities going, too.

What else can you turn into slime? See what ideas your kids come up with! It’s a wonderful way to explore different food products in your home.

Grab a piece of paper and have them write down some fun ideas on what they want to try to do with their slime. This will teach them to plan ahead and also work on some writing skills, too.

Then, when they’re ready to try something else with their slime, they’ll have their notepad handy and ready to remember what it was that they were wanting to do.
